A round table entitled “Social Enterprise – alternative for better living” is going to be held on October 6th 2011 at 09:30 in the Conference Centre of Dimyat Hotel, Varna, Bulgaria.
The event is organized within the ISEDE-NET Project /Innovative Social Enterprise Development Network/ by Association of People with Mental Disabilities, Varna. The Project is implemented by a broad partnership /Italy, Austria, Greece, Hungary, Slovenia, Serbia, Ukraine and Bulgaria/. The partnering organizations include both not-for-profit organizations and regional authorities. The Lead Partner of the project is Province of Brescia, Italy, the Manager of the Project is Mr. Dario Pironi, President of Province of Brescia.
The ISEDE‐NET project was formed in order to help the development of social economy, social entrepreneurship in the South East European Region to create a more competitive job market and enforce social cohesion in Europe. The project meets this goal through setting up a multilevel, transnational network, sharing information and diverse local experience. It also raises public awareness of the concept of social economy.
By implementing this Project we expect to achieve the following results:
- better knowledge about driving forces of Social Entrepreneurship in the participating countries and stakeholder level
- permanent transnational public‐private network committed to the development of Social Entrepreneurship
- permanent transnational network of Social Entrepreneurship with increased business capacities and improved road to market
- By supporting the ISEDE-NET Portal www.isede-net.com to provide an opportunity to existing social enterprises in Bulgaria to tap into a rich database of resources to boost their business accessing articles, journals and other information in 8 languages. The topics are: funding opportunities, marketing, human resources, etc.
- To seek and report on innovative financial tools for social enterprises
- To research and report new market niches for social enterprises
We have invited major stakeholders to attend the meeting: Valentina Simeonova, Minister of Labour and Social Policy, Mr. Kiril Geratliev, Director of Regional Cooperation Directorate at the Ministry of Regional Development, Mr. Dancho Simeonov, Regional Manager of Varna, Kosta Bazitov, Deputy Mayor Varna, representatives of local institutions and non-governmental organizations.
